Picking Up Your Puppy in North Carolina
We strive to make the pickup process informative and fast since many people are traveling from quite a distance and want to get back on the road as soon as possible. That being said, we do want to make sure you are well prepared prior to arriving for pickup.
Appointment Required
At Jones Farm Puppies, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our puppies and visitors. Please note that all visits to our property are strictly by appointment only. We do not allow anyone on the premises without a scheduled appointment. Our Visitation Policy helps us maintain a peaceful environment for our puppies and ensures each family receives our undivided attention. We adhere to strict guidelines for the health and safety of all puppies.
What to Expect at Pick-Up
We want your puppy’s homecoming to be a special and memorable event. When you arrive for your appointment, we will have everything prepared for you and your new puppy:
- Puppy Kit: A special bag filled with goodies, including a snuggle puppy, 1 year supply of flea and tick prevention, 2 year supply of heart worm prevention, and a scented blanket to help your puppy adjust to their new home.
- Paperwork: All necessary documentation for your puppy, including health records for your first vet visit.
- Microchip Information: Your puppy will already be microchipped for their safety and your peace of mind. I will remain the secondary contact for your puppy in case they ever get lost and you can’t be reached.
What to Bring with You
To make the pick-up process as smooth as possible, please bring the following items:
- Food and Water: Pack enough food and water for your trip, along with collapsible bowls, and Chillax.
Cleaning Supplies: Be prepared for accidents by packing cleaning supplies such as waste bags, paper towels, and pet-safe cleaners.
Health Records: Carry a copy of your puppy’s health records, including vaccination history.
- Potty Items: Potty pan, newspaper, potty spray.
- Carrier or Crate: To ensure your puppy’s safety during the journey home.
- Leash and Collar: For any necessary potty breaks during your trip.
- Towels or Blankets: To keep your puppy comfortable in the car.
- Identification: A form of ID for verification purposes.
If you happen to be picking up at the airport or flying in please see our delivery tips.
Important Health Policy
It’s important to follow our recommended vaccine schedule and not to over-vaccinate. Small breeds have a lower tolerance to the toxins in vaccinations. Avoid double dosing or more than one vaccine per vet visit. Failure to do so will void the health warranty.
